You might have seen one (or two, or more…) of our award-winning projects over the years. Within the last two years, we specifically chose to feature six exclusive projects in our portfolio on our new website.
Why those six? Well, yes, they do have a lot of awards…but these six were actually chosen because of the motivations behind them.
Not our motivations, mind you!! The clients’.
And every client’s motivation was different!
Keep reading to see what each of these six families were really investing in…
1: The kitchen remodel that built a feeling of belonging
The goal in this kitchen wasn’t just to open the space up (though that was the structural focus). In fact, the kitchen remodel planning was underway right after the family moved into this home. Why? Because the new home was otherwise perfect, but after one look at the kitchen, the homeowners knew that the old design was NOT what they needed: a hub of where everyone at home (and every guest who came over) truly felt a sense of belonging.
So that’s what the new design was all about. And it’s why the homeowner chose this new home knowing that they would start with a big kitchen renovation.

2: State-of-the-art bathroom
Yes, it’s divine to have a newly updated bathroom. But how about a state-of-the-art one?! THAT’S what this couple wanted. I’m talking impressive amenities here.

3: Award-winning indoor-outdoor pool cabana
The structure itself of the pool cabana was impressive here…we built it from the ground up. BUT, the homeowner wasn’t focused on size, or even the long list of amenities they selected. They mostly wanted to ensure that the full indoor-outdoor experience on their property was entertainment focused, and nurturing for mingling in all four seasons.

4: A kitchen and adjacent rooms organizing “together time”
Yes, togetherness was and is important to this family. And yes, the kitchen was SUPER outdated (dare I say it…hideous!) and needed new everything. What the family was really after, though, was a design that made together time easy and organized for everyone.
Y’all know what I’m talking about…small kids at home!! This design ended up being spot-on for this busy family.

5: Kitchen revival
This family was investing in confidence. Fortunately, the original space already had good “bones.” It was open, and the cabinetry was in good shape (minus the old color). But the family wanted to feel more comfortable having people over, and more confident as they moved through their daily routines.

6: Vacation home? No, a legacy!
This homeowner wanted to create the “go-to” vacation spot for her kids and grandkids, yeah, but most of all, she wanted a legacy. A two-part one!
- A place her grandkids would always remember fondly
- And a place those same grandkids might jointly own someday!

Look beyond the finishes…
The materials and selections in all these projects are beautiful, too. But they aren’t the reason the homeowners chose to invest in their homes.
